JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Executive Director for Global Sanctions Compliance to lead the Block and Reject organization, overseeing sanctions-related activities and regulatory reporting across Delaware and India.

The role focuses on governance, controls, and scalable improvements to strengthen the firm’s sanctions framework. The candidate will drive modernization, manage a distributed team, and partner with Compliance, Operational Risk, Audit, and Technology to close gaps and deliver

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of operations leadership in financial services or regulated environments.
  • Experience leading large, geographically distributed teams (including offshore).
  • Proven track record of metrics-driven operating models with focus on performance and risk.
  • Experience driving process redesign, standardization, automation, and control enhancement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly controlled environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sanctions-related blocking/rejection activities and maintain risk culture across locations.
  • Ensure timely/regulatory reporting of blocked/rejected transactions.
  • Oversee governance, audit trails, and documentation supporting sanctions actions.
  • Drive operational excellence through workflow management and capacity planning.
  • Establish KPIs and KRIs to measure ops effectiveness and drive improvements.
  • Lead strategic programs from planning to delivery with governance and milestones.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Operational Risk, Audit, and Tech to close control gaps.
  • Develop operating model enhancements to boost efficiency and scale.
  • Promote automation and tech-enabled solutions to strengthen controls.
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and timely responses.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting and communications on performance.
