Metric Geo is seeking a Director/VP Sales to build and lead the sales function across the United States. This newly created role reports to senior leadership and will shape the strategy, processes and people needed to scale the business.
The Senior Sales Leader will standardize sales processes, establish KPIs and dashboards, and partner with branches to close gaps. The position envisions potential growth into an inside sales capability and broader leadership as the organization scales.
We are partnering with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed home services organization to identify a Director/VP Sales who will play a key role in building and developing the company's sales function across the US.
The business has grown significantly through acquisition and today operates across 25+ locations with approximately 1,500 employees, predominantly across the East Coast.
This is a newly created position with the opportunity to build the sales infrastructure, processes and performance standards required to support the company's next phase of growth.
The Senior Sales Leader will work closely with leadership teams across the company's branch network to assess existing sales practices and develop a more consistent, data-driven approach to sales performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
We are looking for someone who has helped build or improve a sophisticated sales organization within a multi-location or distributed business.
Direct HVAC experience would be highly relevant, but is not essential. We are equally interested in candidates from residential home services, home improvement, home technology, home systems or other businesses with a structured B2C sales process.
Potential backgrounds could include:
Previous experience directly managing a large sales team is not a requirement. Initially, this role will operate through influence, with dotted-line relationships across the branch network rather than a large direct team.
The successful candidate will be highly analytical and comfortable using metrics, KPIs and sales data to identify opportunities and drive behavioral change, while also possessing the communication skills required to gain buy-in from local leadership teams.
This is an opportunity to build a sales excellence function almost from the ground up within a sizeable, growing organization and ultimately develop into a broader sales leadership position as the business continues to scale.
