Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President in Software Engineering focused on reliability, platforms, and AIOps. You will architect highly available, observable systems and drive proactive operational excellence across a global engineering organization.

Qualifications

Experience in reliability engineering and distributed systems.
Experience designing fault-tolerant, observable platforms.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, Linux environments, and coding fundamentals.
Familiarity with SLOs/SLIs, alerting, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

Collaborate to architect highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale.
Deploy telemetry pipelines for metrics, logs, and traces with AI-assisted insights.
Develop automation and self-service infrastructure APIs to reduce toil.
Lead load testing and capacity forecasting to ensure scalable systems.
Define service level objectives and translate health data into priorities.
Lead incident response with AI-assisted RCA and faster MTTR.
Promote blameless culture and automated safeguards.
