Job summary

Blue Owl Capital is seeking a detail oriented, strategic accounting professional to manage one of its digital infrastructure closed end private equity funds. The VP will institutionalize best practices, oversee GAAP reporting, and collaborate with a global, high-performing team.

The role requires seven+ years in PE real estate accounting, experience with complex fund structures, and coordination with third-party administrators.

Qualifications

• Seven plus years of private equity real estate accounting experience.
• Understanding of complex fund structures including foreign currency exposure and hedging.
• Knowledge of REIT rules and tax implications, a plus.
• Experience working with third-party fund administrators.
• Fair value accounting background.
• Understanding of debt agreements.
• Ability to utilize Excel and accounting software efficiently.
• Experience interpreting limited partnership agreements, long-term leases, and mortgages.

Responsibilities

• Lead GAAP-compliant financial reporting for property-level and fund-level entities, including parallel funds and SPVs.
• Review fund administrator deliverables and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage global audit, tax, and regulatory filing processes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Serve as accounting contact for lenders and institutional investors, including debt compliance reporting.
• Prepare and present accounting, budgeting, and reporting matters to senior management.
• Oversee forecasting, cash flow planning, and fund return calculations.
• Interpret partnership agreements to calculate investor returns and carried interest.
• Enhance internal controls and procedures to support scalable operations.
• Build processes with software and AI tools to automate schedules and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with portfolio company accounting teams for monthly reporting.
