Job summary

Blue Owl Capital is seeking an experienced Vice President of Private Equity Real Estate Accounting to lead GAAP financial reporting for property- and fund-level entities, including SPVs and parallel funds. You will manage fund administrator deliverables, investor reporting, and global regulatory filings with teams across multiple jurisdictions.

The role requires 7+ years in PE real estate accounting, strong knowledge of fund structures, and the ability to build scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Seven plus years of private equity real estate accounting experience.
• Understanding of complex fund structures including foreign currency exposure and hedging.
• Knowledge of REIT rules and tax implications, a plus.
• Experience working with third-party fund administrators.
• “Fair value” accounting background.
• Understanding of debt agreements.
• Ability to efficiently utilize excel spreadsheets and accounting software systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead GAAP‑compliant financial reporting for property‑level and fund‑level entities, including parallel funds and SPVs.
• Review fund administrator deliverables: journal entries, capital calls, distributions, NAV calculations, and investor pricing.
• Manage global audit, tax, and regulatory filing processes with external partners.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for lenders and investors, including debt compliance reporting.
• Prepare and present accounting, budgeting, and reporting matters to senior management.
• Oversee forecasting, cash flow planning, and fund return calculations.
• Interpret partnership agreements to calculate investor returns and carried interest.
• Enhance internal controls and scalable processes across the organization.
• Build processes using software and AI to automate schedules and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with portfolio company accounting teams on monthly reporting reconciliation.
