Job summary

Trinity Industries in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Vice President, Portfolio Management to lead strategy and performance for the lease fleet, optimizing utilization, yield, profitability, and asset deployment. You will direct a team of portfolio managers and analytics professionals, translating market and fleet data into disciplined portfolio strategies and decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field required.
12+ years of progressive leadership experience in portfolio management, leasing, rail, transportation, logistics, asset management, or related.
Experience leading teams and cross-functional collaboration.
Railcar leasing, freight rail, or fleet management experience strongly preferred.
Strong financial acumen including revenue, utilization, profitability analysis.
Ability to translate complex operational, financial, maintenance, and market data into clear strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

Set strategic direction for the lease fleet portfolio balancing utilization and revenue.
Lead renewals, remarketing, redeployment, and asset exits.
Coach portfolio managers and analytics team.
Own portfolio performance insights and executive reporting.
Collaborate with Commercial, Maintenance Operations, Finance, IT and others to improve portfolio decisions.
