Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Vice President, Project Controls Manager to join our Project Controls team in the San Francisco Bay area. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration in Santa Clara with remote work for one day per week, overseeing cost, schedule, risk, and reporting across mega programs.

You will lead enterprise-level dashboards, implement robust cost controls, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership and the client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• 12 years of combined field and office project controls experience on large-scale mega projects, especially transit/rail.
• Extensive knowledge of cost estimating methodologies, cost control techniques, and schedule management best practices.
• Ability to interface with clients and participate in business development initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of project controls processes and governance.
• Integrate cost, schedule, risk, and reporting disciplines to support objectives.
• Serve as primary contact for project controls with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee dashboards to monitor program health and KPIs.
• Establish robust cost control procedures across projects and programs.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams on design and execution options.
• Ensure earned value management, performance measurement, and predictive analytics.
• Provide timely reports and presentations to senior leadership and client.
• Lead meetings focused on risk, change control, performance, and planning.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting across work packages and subprojects.
