Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a seasoned procurement leader in Orlando to manage vendor negotiations, program development and staffing for the procurement team. You will drive inventory control, supplier relationships and cost optimization to support the company’s profitability and growth.

The role requires extensive experience in foodservice procurement, strong leadership, and the ability to implement effective purchasing strategies across multiple vendors and categories.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-10 years Procurement or related area with supervisory experience.
• Bachelors degree preferred.
• 10+ years Procurement with supervisory/management experience in foodservice industry.
• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP).

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates including staffing, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize cash flow and service levels; negotiate with vendors for best price and program.
• Interact with customers and vendors in a friendly, timely manner; respond to inquiries and maintain fill-rate standards.
• Establish procedures to increase purchasing department productivity.
• Improve purchasing strategies and processes with deep knowledge of the food distribution industry.
• May be responsible for managing the marketing/merchandising function.
