Job summary

State Street is seeking a Vice President for its Private Markets fund accounting and administration group. The role partners with clients and colleagues to set workflows, client deadlines, and supervise staff while delivering reporting and day-to-day accounting support.

You will oversee financial work papers, statements, tax work papers, capital calls/distributions, and reconciliations, with heavy client interaction and coordination of annual audits with Big 4 firms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 12+ years general ledger accounting or audit experience.
• 6+ years leadership experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Supervising all lower level staff and AVP level personnel.
• Managing client relationships with fund investors and client personnel.
• Reviewing quarterly/annual financial work papers, statements, and footnotes.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax return preparations with Big 4 firms.
• Review and preparation of capital calls and distributions; ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain relationships with investment professionals, auditors and banking personnel.
