Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a Vice President for Private Markets to service clients within the Alternative Investment Solutions group. You will supervise staff, manage client relationships, and deliver daily accounting support and reporting for hedge funds and private credit funds.

You will coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely deliverables, assist with audits, and navigate limited partnership agreements, with strong focus on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with accounting.
• 12+ years of general ledger accounting or audit experience.
• 6+ years of leadership experience.
• Previous financial reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Real Estate, Hedge Fund, or Private Market accounting experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills.
• Experience with Investran, Great Plains and Oracle Financials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lower level staff and manage client relationships.
• Review quarterly/annual financial work papers, schedules and allocations.
• Review financial statements and footnotes; tax work papers.
• Prepare capital calls and distributions notices and merges.
• Post journal entries and reconcile monthly bank statements.
• Review management fee calculations and client correspondence.
• Coordinate annual audit/tax return prep with Big 4 firms.
• Navigate partnership agreements and capital account allocations.
• Ensure compliance with investment fund documents and legal agreements.
• Manage internal workflow and client deadlines; report unusual activity.
