Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. is seeking a Vice President to lead deal execution and investment thesis development within Brookfield Special Investments. The role focuses on underwriting quality, operational improvement, and long-term value creation across hybrid capital transactions.

The VP will drive diligence, structure complex transactions, and build business networks to source opportunities, while guiding junior team members and presenting to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Lead all aspects of deal execution across commercial, financial, operational, HR, insurance, regulatory, and legal.
• Oversee financial due diligence including modeling, valuation, and analysis.
• Develop and evaluate bespoke transaction structures to meet objectives and optimize returns.
• Create and drive the value creation plan during diligence with operational teams.
• Coordinate with legal, tax and internal teams to align structuring with business case.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present investment cases and transaction materials.
• Develop and refine sector theses across the strategy.
• Maintain and expand relationships with bankers, advisors, founders, and executives.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments affecting underwriting.
• Manage and mentor junior investment professionals in sourcing, diligence, modeling, and presentation.
