Job summary

You will oversee underwriting quality, lead complex transactions from origination through closing, develop business networks to source targets, and mentor junior investment professionals.

The role demands 6-8+ years of investing experience, an undergraduate degree (MBA/CFA asset), and superior financial modeling and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years of direct investing experience.
• Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record; an MBA, CFA designation or other advanced qualification is considered an asset.
• Prior experience at a non-control, capital-solutions, large-scale buyout, or upper-middle-market buyout fund.
• Proven track record of leading junior investment professionals throughout end-to-end execution of a transaction.
• Superior financial modeling and due diligence capabilities.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Organized and detail-oriented; ability to work with changing priorities and multiple workstreams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present analysis to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Drive deal execution, investment thesis development, diligence management, and portfolio value creation.
• Lead the underwriting quality and operational improvements across investments.
• Develop business networks to source new investment targets.
• Lead senior Associates, Associates and Analysts; mentor team through sourcing, diligence, modeling, and presentation development.
• Prepare and present investment cases, presentation materials, bid letters, and other transaction-related documentation.
