Job summary

Vantage Data Centers seeks a Vice President, Preconstruction to lead strategic planning, design integration, and execution readiness for hyperscale data center developments across North America. This role drives the full preconstruction lifecycle, from site validation and power feasibility to design development and handoff to construction.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in preconstruction, development, design, or construction leadership within data centers.
• Proven experience delivering hyperscale or campus-style developments with multi-phase execution.
• Deep expertise in power-driven site selection, due diligence, design management, and cost estimation.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with ability to influence investment decisions.
• Excellent leadership aligned with company values and strong executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead preconstruction strategy, standards, and scalable delivery models.
• Lead due diligence with focus on power availability, utility coordination, and scalability.
• Oversee environmental, zoning, and permitting processes for scalable sites.
• Lead early-stage design coordination, campus master planning, high-density layouts.
• Drive cost models and schedules to support rapid delivery and phased deployment.
• Ensure seamless handoff to construction with defined scope and budgets.
• Collaborate with real estate, development, design, construction, operations, and commercial teams.
• Represent Vantage with utilities and strategic partners to secure approvals.
