Job summary

Amherst Group seeks a Vice President of Portfolio Strategy & Analytics to lead cross‑functional efforts across investment and operations, turning asset data into strategic insights. You will drive forecasting, scenario analysis, and capital allocation decisions with a data-driven mindset.

The role requires substantial real estate investment experience, advanced modeling, and strong communication skills to influence senior leaders and investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CA/CFA preferred with financial markets understanding.
• 6+ years in real estate investment management, portfolio strategy, financial analytics, or related field; SFR experience preferred.
• Advanced modeling and analytical capabilities; proficiency with Tableau, Python, and SQL.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Leadership experience navigating cross-functional teams and executing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio performance and insights; identify levers across P&L to drive revenue and asset economics.
• Lead forecasting, modeling, and strategy; collaborate with Data Science on cash flow and portfolio tools.
• Enhance asset management decision-making with data-driven pricing, renewals, and expense optimization.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly reporting for senior leadership, investors, and cross-functional partners.
• Improve data quality and analytics infrastructure with BI and technology teams.
