Job summary

Amherst Group is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join the Portfolio Management team in Austin, TX. You will build financial models, conduct underwriting, and prepare investor materials for debt, equity, and cash-flow analyses.

The role involves collaborating across the Merchant Banking unit, supporting capital planning and portfolio optimization in a fast-paced environment. MBA/CA/CFA a plus; 1–3 years’ real estate/finance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and MBA / CA / CFA with financial markets understanding a plus.
• 1–3 years experience in banking, consulting, or real estate preferred.
• Intermediate-advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Yardi, Tableau, SQL preferred.
• Time management: manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain financial models and underwriting, incl. cash flow, IRR, DCF, and NPV analyses.
• Prepare presentations and marketing materials for investors and Board of Directors.
• Collaborate across the organization to generate ideas and support special projects.
• Complete monthly/quarterly investor relations reporting with India and Costa Rica counterparts.
• Amalgamate information across functions to address ad hoc investor requests.
• Provide analyses to drive strategic decisions on portfolio and capital structure.
