Job summary

Banc of California, Inc. in Utah is seeking an experienced credit professional to deliver financial, credit, and trend analysis for middle market clients and prospects. You will monitor covenant compliance, collateral, and credit deterioration while reviewing loans.

The role focuses on independent credit evaluation, structuring loans, and presenting recommendations to Credit Administration. Strong knowledge of real estate lending, cash flow analysis, and risk management is essential;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant lending or portfolio management experience.
• Strong knowledge of real estate lending, construction and bridge experience preferred.
• Understanding of cash flow analysis, financial analysis and loan structuring.
• Knowledge of bank credit policies and risk management standards.
• Ability to interpret complex loan documentation and collateral perfection.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and analytical writing skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary credit point of contact for borrowers and maintain relationships.
• Review loan agreements, guarantees, and credit documentation.
• Review, approve, and process loan advances with Loan Servicing.
• Approve monthly loan statements and related reporting.
• Monitor project loan performance and reserve adequacy.
• Collect financial reporting and analyze trends.
• Ensure compliance with covenants and recommend actions.
• Prepare quarterly risk reviews and portfolio assessments.
• Evaluate borrower requests and prepare credit memoranda with actions.
• Provide guidance and oversight through performance evaluations and feedback.
