Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Vice President in our Bridgeton, MO office with an option for in-person or hybrid work. The role leads business development for the Platform Systems Integration line and is accountable for converting qualified near-term pipeline into profitable bookings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, or engineering; master’s preferred.
• 15+ years of defense-industry business development or related leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition, FAR/DFARS, ITAR/export controls, and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Own the PSI bookings forecast, pipeline coverage, win rate, and CRM data accuracy.
• Identify, qualify, prioritize, and shape PSI opportunities across 0–24 months.
• Lead capture strategy, call plans, competitive assessments, and pricing inputs.
• Direct the PSI proposal-management organization and ensure on-time submissions.
• Build trusted relationships with primes, program offices, and partners.
• Translate customer requirements into differentiated offerings with Programs and Engineering.
• Apply lead-LOB rules for cross-LOB pursuits and ensure single-point accountability.
• Execute handoffs from Strategy to Programs at award, preserving commitments.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing PSI BD and capture team.
• Support corporate mission, values, and compliance.
• Travel 25–50% for engagements.
• Develop department plans and budgets aligned with strategic plan.
• Attend corporate meetings and report on responsibilities.
• Perform delegated duties as assigned.
