Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an Associate Vice President of Perioperative Services to provide strategic leadership across the perioperative continuum, ensuring safe, efficient, evidence-based care. You will partner with medical staff and leaders to align with the organization’s mission and priorities.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, financial performance, and patient experience, with oversight of scheduling, throughput, and quality metrics in a dynamic health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Master’s Degree, or a BSN with a Master’s in Nursing; Doctorate preferred.
• PA and NJ nursing licenses are required.
• Seven years of progressive nursing leadership over diverse clinical areas or related experience.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Leads strategic planning, growth, and performance optimization for perioperative services.
• Accountable for quality, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and accreditation compliance.
• Directs financial management, including budget development and fiscal oversight.
• Establishes and supports perioperative operational standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Drives OR efficiency through block management, scheduling optimization, turnover reduction and real time flow efficiency.
• Drives performance improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, efficiency and quality/safe patient outcomes.
• Supports and facilitates an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of care.
• Interprets, communicates, and assures the implementation of the organization’s mission, vision and values.
• Maintains current knowledge of the Perioperative business environment, trends in healthcare, and standards of care.
