Job summary

Ladders is seeking a VP, People Services to partner with the CEO and executive team to craft organization design, talent strategy, and the delivery model for a growing professional services firm. This senior leader blends people leadership with commercial ownership and oversees service delivery, financial performance, and client-facing HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of HR leadership experience.
• 7+ years as head of HR or senior strategic HR partner in a professional services firm.
• Finance, accounting, or advisory firms experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record building or running HR services for small companies, including pricing and delivery.
• Deep knowledge of payroll operations and multi-state compliance.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and using AI in HR workflows.
• Commercial instinct with experience owning a P&L and driving business development.
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a VP, People Services to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This senior leader will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and broader leadership team, shaping organization design, talent strategy, and the delivery model for a professional services environment. The role blends people leadership with commercial ownership, including oversight of service delivery, financial performance, and business development. It also plays a key part in modernizing HR practices and leading workforce change as the organization expands its use of AI.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $210,000 – $250,000 annually
