Kinder’s in Walnut Creek, CA, is hiring a Vice President, Packaging to shape enterprise packaging strategy, governance, and capabilities across the organization. You will lead packaging engineering, supplier strategy, and commercialization efforts to enable growth while protecting product quality.

The role requires deep technical expertise, executive-level collaboration with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, and the ability to build a scalable packaging organization in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline required.
• 12+ years of progressive packaging experience in food, beverage, or high-volume consumer manufacturing with leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience leading an enterprise packaging function with strategy, engineering, and commercialization.
• Deep technical expertise across multiple packaging formats including films, plastics, bottles, closures, labels, and cartons.
• Strong business acumen with capital investments, TCO, and supplier management experience.
• Executive-level communication and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Ops, Supply Chain, and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead Kinder’s enterprise packaging strategy and governance.
• Build scalable packaging processes, standards, and decision frameworks.
• Lead development from concept to scale, across primary to tertiary packaging.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Sourcing, and Finance on capital planning and supplier strategy.
• Ensure packaging considerations are integrated early into product and commercial decisions.
• Drive value engineering, cost reductions, and sustainability initiatives.
