Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, Inc. seeks a Sr. Packaging Engineer to lead packaging development across multiple brands, oversee specs, and drive cost-effective packaging solutions.

You will partner with manufacturing, procurement, and product teams to commercialize innovations and ensure packaging aligns with brand strategies. The role requires strong technical leadership, packaging science expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects from ideation to production with a focus on quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science or related field.
• 5–7 years in consumer-packaged goods; food/beverage preferred.
• Knowledge of corrugated, PET, paperboard, and flexible films.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging development, sample requests, specifications, design, and performance for multiple brands.
• Serve as the customer-facing technical expert across the portfolio.
• Coach and review documentation to ensure accuracy and right-first-time results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to commercialize packaging innovations.
• Manage new item development including packaging, sourcing, and pricing.
