Job summary

Morgan Stanley in New York is seeking a Vice President to join the Institutional Securities Group's First Line Central Risk team. The role centers on governance of Operational Risk and Resilience across divisions, setting standards, establishing controls, and ensuring integrity of risk systems and processes.

You will monitor incidents, perform analyses and lessons learned, lead cross-functional initiatives to strengthen governance, and partner with Firmwide teams to implement program

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of related work experience in risk management functions.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MS preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the front-office processes is preferred, particularly operational resilience.
  • Experience with risk governance, incidents, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee risk management practices across ISG businesses to ensure standards and controls.
  • Monitor operational risk incidents and escalate timely with lessons learned and remediation.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve governance and organizational resilience.
  • Partner with Firmwide teams to ensure program requirements across Operational Risk and Resilience are implemented.
  • Lead scenario-based exercises and risk discussions for senior management.
