Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President to join the First Line Central Risk team within ISG, focusing on governance of Operational Risk and Resilience. The role requires leadership across multiple risk areas and collaboration with Firmwide partners to ensure consistent risk practices globally.

The candidate will drive incident analysis, risk event reviews, and continuous improvement, informing senior management decisions and ensuring robust control environments across ISG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MS preferred.
• Experience in risk management functions.
• Strong understanding of front-office processes, particularly Operational Risk governance.
• Experience with Operational Resilience programs and scenario-based exercises.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk management practices across ISG businesses to ensure consistency and support growth.
• Perform ongoing monitoring and reporting of Operational Risk incidents with escalation and remediation recommendations.
• Provide thought leadership on risk event analysis and lessons learned.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve governance and resilience across ISG BU's.
• Partner with Firmwide teams to ensure fit-for-purpose programmatic requirements.
• Lead scenario-based exercises and advise management with risk insights and actions.
