Talantir seeks a Vice President of IT to lead reliable, secure technology services for public libraries, municipal partners, and internal operations. You will collaborate with the CIO and executive team to ensure strategic alignment, strong service delivery, and risk management across infrastructure, systems, and support services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience including responsibility for operational technology environments and managing technical teams.
• Experience working with municipal organizations, public institutions, libraries, or multi-location operational environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, and cybersecurity practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the organization’s IT operations, infrastructure, and support services.
• Lead and mentor IT managers and technical staff, fostering accountability and service excellence.
• Ensure systems supporting library operations remain stable, secure, and highly reliable.
• Establish operational standards, processes, and performance expectations for IT service delivery.
• Improve incident response, monitoring, and operational support processes.
• Oversee documentation, standards, and procedures across the technology environment.
• Build trusted relationships with library directors and municipal partners to guide technology decisions.
