Job summary

Puget Systems seeks a VP of Technology to own the systems, the team, and the roadmap, guiding a small but impactful group and joining the Executive Leadership Team to shape long-term tech strategy.

You will drive the vision for the internal NAV platform, the public site, data integration, cybersecurity, and process maturity while maintaining Puget's pragmatic, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development and/or IT with 3+ years leading a tech function.
• Direct experience owning software and IT for a mid-sized business (50–500 employees).
• Proven track record maturing a technology organization with defined practices.
• Prior ownership of a department budget.

Responsibilities

• Own internal business platform NAV and legacy code strategy.
• Lead software team, hire 1–2 senior developers, set standards for ownership and delivery.
• Oversee IT operations, security, and 24/7 incident response.
• Own public and internal websites and data integrations.
• Manage cybersecurity, documentation, and budgeting; participate in ELT decisions.
