Job summary

Prudential Financial, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Communications Strategic Planning to lead the Strategy & Integration team's Planning pillar and align priorities across the enterprise’s communications function.

The role requires executive presence, judgment, and the ability to translate priorities into integrated communications plans for SLT and senior leaders. The position is hybrid, with on-site presence in Newark, NJ as determined by the business and requires collaboration with C-suite

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in corporate communications, strategic planning, business operations, management consulting, or a premier communications agency environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Strategy or a related field.
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into integrated communications plans, governance rhythms and decision frameworks for senior leaders.
• Strong executive presence and consultative communication skills with C-suite partners.
• Experience leading high-performing teams and cross-functional workstreams.
• Familiarity with enterprise communications principles and planning workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual, quarterly and agile planning cadence for Communications and align priorities across SLT teams.
• Establish planning governance, decision forums, service tiers and tradeoff mechanisms.
• Lead and develop the Strategic Planning pillar team and intake processes.
• Partner with Head of Strategy & Integration, CCO and senior leaders to surface priorities, dependencies and risks.
• Make demand, resource pressure and tradeoffs visible to enable disciplined decisions.
• Ensure planning outputs demonstrate Communications’ contribution to strategy, transformation and reputation.
