Opportunity Overview

The Dalmore is a top 10 US single malt by value; Jura is a fast-growing top 20 brand; Tamnavulin is the fastest-growing under $40. These brands offer significant growth potential in the US market.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Deliver W&M’s commercial targets in top US liquor chain retailers.
  2. Develop new strategic partnerships with select National On Premise operators.
  3. Execute Chain Retail strategy and oversee distribution, visibility, and activation plans offline and online.
  4. Conduct business reviews with Gallo’s Customer Development Teams to evaluate performance and identify opportunities.
  5. Lead development of annual business plans with distribution, sales, and visibility goals.
  6. Survey top chains to optimize presence and report on point-of-purchase execution.
  7. Build relationships with strategic new or emerging customers for growth and visibility.
  8. Establish Whyte and Mackay as a thought leader in the Single Malt category with top liquor chains.
  9. Collaborate with internal teams for advocacy, consumer tastings, trade marketing, and brand visibility initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years in Wine & Spirits or luxury brands, across supplier and wholesaler tiers.
  • Skilled in data interpretation, category storytelling, and pricing management.
  • Experience in customer marketing, channel visibility, and activation programs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of E-commerce.
  • Effective negotiator and relationship builder.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive attitude.
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $170,000–$190,000, depending on experience and location.

Additional benefits include bonus, health coverage, 401k with match, flexible hours, PTO, holidays, product allowance, and development opportunities.
