Job summary

Btween is seeking an experienced leader to drive global sourcing and production for children’s apparel in a fast-paced off-price environment.

The role requires deep knowledge of fabric development, garment construction, and size ranges, with a track record of scaling production teams and delivering on time while managing costs and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in apparel global sourcing and production, with direct, proven success in off-price/value channels.
• Deep knowledge of childrenswear fabrics, trims, construction, and size ranges.
• Proven ability to lead and scale production teams and communicate with overseas suppliers.
• Hands-on experience with PLM and ERP systems.

• Sourcing & Vendor Management: Build and manage a global factory matrix; negotiate pricing, MOQs, and delivery terms.
• Children's Product Compliance: Ensure garments meet CPSIA safety standards; oversee testing and social compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Merchandising, and Sales to balance cost engineering and on-time delivery.
• Budget & Capacity Planning: Oversee capacity, track WIP, and manage budgets to maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Vendor Management: Build and manage a global factory matrix. Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and delivery terms
• Children's Product Compliance: Ensure all garments meet rigorous safety protocols (CPSIA), oversee testing standards, and enforce strict social compliance requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership: Partner with Design, Merchandising, and Sales teams to build development calendars that balance cost engineering and on-time delivery. Manage the whole production team.
• Budget & Capacity Planning: Oversee production capacity, track WIP (Work in Progress), and manage financial budgets to minimize risk and maximize profitability.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in apparel global sourcing and production, with direct, proven success in the off-price or value channel (e.g., managing programs for TJX, Ross, Burlington, or off-price divisions).
• Industry Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of childrenswear, including fabric/trim development, garment construction, and size ranges (infant, toddler, kids).
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and scale production teams and effectively communicate with overseas suppliers.
• Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience using PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP systems.
