Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking an Executive Vice President to establish and lead the enterprise product security strategy across Stellarus' commercial products, platforms, and services. The role partners with Product, Engineering, Risk Management, Privacy, Compliance, and Legal to build secure-by-design capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 18+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 12+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, product security, or related disciplines with leadership of enterprise-scale programs.
• 7+ years of leadership experience leading managers or large security teams.
• At least one industry standard certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP).
• Proven executive leadership experience developing and scaling enterprise Product Security programs in complex environments.
• Deep expertise in SSDLC, application security, DevSecOps, cloud security, API security, and software supply chain security.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, microservices, containers, and platform engineering practices.
• Experience implementing security frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SSDF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2, OWASP.
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into actionable security roadmaps and investments.
• Strong communication and executive presence to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise product security programs across large-scale organizations.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Risk Management, Privacy, Compliance, and Legal leaders to build secure-by-design capabilities.
• Oversee product security engineering, application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, security architecture, and governance programs.
• Communicate security strategy and progress to executive leadership, boards, regulators, and external auditors.
