Job summary

8am seeks a strategic People leader to own strategy, execution, and success of our People function. You will act as a trusted lieutenant to the CPO, ensuring business continuity and strong people practices across the company.

You will design Total Rewards, oversee HRIS data integrity, and manage Facilities and Executive Admin functions while partnering with the executive team to translate strategy into people programs and ensure compliance across regions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing People Business Partner teams.
• Impeccable communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and People compliance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of compensation design, benefits administration, and People systems/technology.
• Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills with an objective, company-first approach.
• Comfortable operating as a trusted advisor and stand-in for the Chief People Officer, including at ELT/Board level.
• Advanced degree in HR, Business Admin, or similar field (or equivalent).
• High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate ambiguity; track record of developing leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the People Business Partner team to drive trusted advisory across the business.
• Own the design, delivery, and evolution of Total Rewards including compensation, benefits, and recognition.
• Oversee People Systems/HRIS data integrity, processes, and reporting for leadership insights.
• Oversee Facilities operations across all offices to ensure safe, functional workplaces.
• Own the Executive Admin function for strategic executive support.
• Partner with CPO and executive team to translate business strategy into people programs.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies across all people programs.
• Build scalable programs and systems to support growth across the U.S., Canada, Colombia, and Czech Republic.
• Use data and metrics to drive decisions and improve employee experience.
• Represent People to ELT/Board; mentor future leaders.
