Job summary

Silver State Schools Credit Union is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to lead our HR strategy and team in Las Vegas, NV. The role focuses on coaching, policy development, and delivering outstanding service to members and staff.

You will develop compensation, benefits, and training programs, oversee payroll, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws. This senior position drives culture and organizational effectiveness across the credit union.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field with at least five years of HR experience.
• Experience in compensation, benefits, administration, training and compliance.
• Proven ability to develop HR policy and lead programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Salary Administration and ensure competitive compensation strategy.
• Write directives and advise managers on employment, compensation and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and regulations affecting employment.
• Maintain HRIS and employee records; monitor performance appraisals and turnover.
• Manage payroll function and department budgets; supervise training.
• Lead life insurance, pension and health benefit programs; drive cost-effectiveness.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performance workplace culture and lead organizational change.
