Job summary

Oxfam America in Boston seeks a strategic, results‑oriented Vice President of Operations and Risk Management to lead Finance, TIM, and PCHR. You will drive an integrated, resilient operating model and advance risk controls, shared services, and technology governance in support of our mission.

This executive role requires 10–15+ years of senior leadership, strong governance, and a proven ability to partner with the CEO, Board, and confederation teams to enable growth, accountability, and impact.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership across operations, finance, technology, and HR.
• Track record of operating-model redesign and process improvements.
• Experience with enterprise risk management and governance.
• Experience with NGOs or federated organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for internal operations and shared services.
• Establish operating rhythms, decision rights, and service expectations.
• Drive process simplification, automation, and data-driven improvements.
• Ensure business continuity and resilience across transitions.
• Oversee people, culture, and HR with clear roles and accountability.
• Oversee technology strategy, cybersecurity, and information management.
• Provide governance and reporting to executive leadership and Board.
