Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in California seeks a Vice President, Operations — AxS to own end-to-end tactical execution across the Autonomous Systems Segment, translating demand into actionable factory plans and on-time product delivery.

You will lead daily flow, quality, schedule, cost, cash and readiness across multiple product lines, partnering with Global Operations to standardize ERP systems and drive operational excellence; domestic and international travel required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain with 10+ years leading others.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or mission-critical manufacturing.
• Experience scaling production and leading transformations.
• Knowledge of defense contracting, export controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel 25–40% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end fulfillment, delivery, and customer sustainment.
• Lead segment operations strategy, execution, and cross-functional programs.
• Manage manufacturing, production control, materials readiness and quality.
• Drive SIOP, ERP discipline, and continuous improvement.
• Foster customer, program, and leadership alignment; manage budgets.
