Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a hands-on Business Operations leader to drive high-priority initiatives across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering. You will bridge teams, define root causes, and implement scalable processes and tools to accelerate execution in a fast-growing environment.

You will work onsite in Los Angeles (Simi Valley) or Washington, DC, with a strong emphasis on ownership, communication, and practical problem solving.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across a wide range of functions and levels of seniority.
• High agency and grit – able to take ownership and see projects through to completion.
• Experience solving complex business or operational problems in fast-paced environments (consulting/startups/private equity).
• Experience working within, modifying, or implementing enterprise systems (ERP, MRP, HRIS, CRM).
• Track record of implementing solutions, not just recommending strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-priority projects from problem definition through implementation and handoff.
• Break down system or process issues, identify root causes, and build out solutions with stakeholders.
• Roll up sleeves and drive implementation, training teams to adopt new practices.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, Programs, Growth, and other teams to implement solutions.
• Help build the Business Operations team by shaping the project list and briefing executives.
• Operate at startup pace, aligning AV toward speed and urgency.
