Job summary

DLC Management Corp. seeks a VP of Leasing in the Washington, DC area to oversee a strategic leasing plan for a portfolio of properties.

You will develop and execute leasing strategies, analyze market data, and build strong relationships with national retailers, brokers, and internal teams to drive occupancy. The role requires negotiating LOIs, coordinating with Legal and Renewal teams, and leading internal leasing staff and external brokers.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of Leasing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of retail leasing process, LOI and Lease terminology.
• Excellent track record negotiating leases with national retailers.
• Deep understanding of the entire retail leasing process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel frequently, as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute leasing strategy for assigned properties in DLC’s portfolio.
• Identify market trends and use data to inform leasing decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with tenants, brokers, and internal teams.
• Negotiate LOIs and lease terms for deals within assigned properties.
• Partner with Legal to ensure leases are drafted properly and executed timely.
• Submit LPAs in CRM for each fully negotiated LOI at properties.
• Review/approve LPAs for renewal/new deals submitted by Renewal Manager/Reps.
• Manage and provide direction to internal Leasing Reps and outside brokers.
• Conduct quarterly property visits/market tours with brokers to discuss leasing strategy.
• Develop and manage property-level annual leasing budgets.
• Analyze data and market trends to optimize pricing and lease structure.
• Attend weekly property acquisition calls to provide leasing updates.
• Conduct on-site and phone interviews with national retailers during due diligence.
• Participate in monthly JV partner calls to review leasing pipeline.
• Conduct monthly renewals calls to coordinate action plans.
• Coordinate with Property Management to resolve active issues.
• Coordinate with Property Management on GWO deals and timing of deal completion.
• Collaborate with internal departments during acquisition and tenant vacancies.
