Job summary

Gordon Electric Supply seeks a Vice President of Human Resources to elevate leadership and organizational capability across its Illinois operations. You will partner with the CFO and senior leaders to shape HR strategy, develop leaders, manage succession, onboarding, performance, and engagement, while guiding AI-driven HR initiatives and risk management.

You will lead a three-person HR team and align people investments with business goals, growth, and customer outcomes in a hands-on, on-site

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including senior HR leadership.
• Ability to connect people investments to measurable organizational outcomes.
• Experience building HR strategy, organizational development, leadership development, performance, and succession planning.
• Experience influencing senior leaders and driving change while developing managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of Gordon Electric Supply's people and HR strategy.
• Develop leadership pipelines and succession plans across locations.
• Oversee onboarding, training, and workforce development initiatives.
• Strengthen performance management and employee engagement with measurable outcomes.
• Expand talent acquisition and hiring quality; collaborate on compensation and benefits.
• Provide strategic oversight of risk management, safety, and compliance across locations.
