Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a veteran Vice President of Manufacturing to lead all manufacturing operations across plants. You will drive productivity, implement lean initiatives, manage budgets, and lead a high‑caliber operations team.

The role requires deep expertise in lean, quality systems, and technology integration to deliver scalable, high‑quality production. The candidate will align with R&D and IT to deploy advanced manufacturing techniques while ensuring safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
• Senior operational leadership in tough‑tech manufacturing with plant operations and center‑of‑excellence exposure.
• Deep expertise in lean principles and quality management systems; scaling best practices across sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive production results with metrics and risk management.
• Oversee manufacturing operations to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
