Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Director of Manufacturing, Operations & Supply Chain Finance to lead the operations-finance function. You will guide cost management, capital investments, and operational efficiency across plants, reporting to the VP FP&A in a fast-growth, hybrid environment.

The role requires 15+ years in finance for manufacturing, with proven leadership and cross-functional influence to scale economics as the company moves from proof-of-concept to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in finance or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in finance with manufacturing and supply chain focus.
• Proven management skills and ability to lead finance teams at scale.
• Experience in multi-site manufacturing and matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary financial advisor to Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership.
• Translate financial results into actionable operational decisions and recommendations.
• Oversee multi-year budgets, cash flows, long-range plans, and KPIs.
• Lead make-vs-buy economics, sourcing, and capital allocation for projects.
• Support planning tools, ERP modules, and standard-costing across plants.
