Job summary

The RealReal is seeking a Vice President of Enterprise Technical Operations to lead the teams and systems that keep our business running across corporate, retail, and authentication centers. You will own technical operations at scale and drive enterprise AI enablement.

This role partners with Finance, HR, Sales/CX and Product leaders to set strategy, SLAs, and governance while building a high-performing, diverse team and advancing automation to reduce manual toil.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive technical operations leadership in a multi-site environment (retail, distribution, or similar)
• Experience leading enterprise AI enablement initiatives across an organization (Google Gemini Enterprise, Copilot, or similar)
• Deep knowledge of core networking, endpoint/device management (MDM), and infrastructure for distributed locations
• Strong track record managing enterprise applications (NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Okta) and vendor relationships
• Proven ability to build and run mature incident and problem management functions with postmortems
• People-first leadership with a proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Security, Product & Technology, Finance, and Retail Ops
• Comfort balancing hands-on execution with strategic planning in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills for executive audiences
• Willingness to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve technical operations strategy across core networking, endpoint/device management, and infrastructure for corporate, retail, and authentication center locations
• Lead enterprise AI enablement across the organization, driving adoption and governance of AI platforms
• Direct enterprise application support and roadmap for NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Okta, and related systems
• Build and mature incident and problem management practices to minimize business disruption
• Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure and connectivity for stores and authentication centers
• Partner with Product & Technology leadership to align operations with broader AI platform strategy
• Set and manage SLAs, operational metrics, and vendor relationships across managed services and SaaS providers
• Attract, hire, develop, and retain a high-performing operations team with clear career paths
• Drive automation and self-service to reduce manual toil and free the team for high-value work
• Serve as escalation point and trusted advisor to executives on technology operations, risk, and resilience
