Job summary

Found Industries, based in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead the engineering organization and scale technologies from laboratory and sub-scale to pilot, demonstration, and commercial deployment.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of engineering leadership experience in industrial technology and a strong ability to translate R&D into safe, reliable, and commercially viable engineered systems. This is a full-time on-site role in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related field; advanced degree a strong plus.
• 15+ years of engineering leadership experience in industrial technology, heavy industry, process industries, or complex hardware systems.
• Experience scaling technology from pilot or demonstration to commercial deployment.
• Hands-on experience with design, construction, commissioning, startup, or operation of industrial facilities.
• Experience collaborating with EPC firms, engineering contractors, equipment suppliers, and fabricators.
• Ability to build and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams; strong systems engineering skills.
• Ability to translate R&D and emerging tech into safe, reliable engineered systems; strong judgment and risk management.
• On-site Cambridge, Massachusetts, full-time work requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Found Industries’ engineering organization and cross-functional teams to scale technologies from R&D through pilot and commercial deployment.
• Translate experimental results into system requirements, process designs, and equipment specifications.
• Oversee integration of process equipment, electrochemical systems, controls, utilities, and balance of plant.
• Manage full project lifecycle: design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, startup, and performance validation.
• Maintain relationships with EPC firms, contractors, suppliers, and fabricators while ensuring internal technical ownership.
• Establish fit-for-purpose engineering processes, design reviews, change control, and risk management.
