Job summary

SeedScaler is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead the engineering organization, set technical direction, and elevate delivery, reliability, and security across the stack. You will partner with the CEO and senior leadership to align engineering with business goals in a growth-stage, profitable tech company.

This onsite role involves mentoring a multi-discipline team, shaping hiring and career development, defining architecture, and driving CI/CD, testing, and observability. Travel to a major U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in engineering leadership.
• Proven experience scaling teams and processes in a fast-growing product org.
• Strong grasp of distributed systems, cloud infra, and secure API design.
• Hands-on with Python (Django or similar), PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Frontend knowledge: TypeScript and React; mobile delivery considerations.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Nice to have: payments or transaction-heavy platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multi-discipline team (backend, frontend, mobile, and infra).
• Own org design and hiring plans with leveling, performance management, and career development.
• Oversee planning, sprint execution, and release cadence for reliable product improvements.
• Partner with executive leadership on long-term technical vision and architecture.
• Raise the bar on CI/CD, code review, automated testing, observability, security.
• Drive availability and performance of mission-critical systems with focus on reliability.
• Act as a culture carrier, reinforcing collaboration and pragmatic decision-making.
