Job summary

Digital Harbor Foundation seeks a Founding Vice President of Engineering to own the architecture, delivery, and engineering for the Independent AI Evaluation Foundation (IAEF). You will lead a distributed team, drive security posture, and serve as the external technical voice with investors, partners, and funders.

You will shape the platform’s DTAP workflow, evaluate protect-and-run decisions for LLMs, and align engineering strategy with the CEO and Executive Director.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with senior technical leadership at a startup, evaluation or audit firm, machine-learning infrastructure company, or research-grade platform team.

Responsibilities

• Own the Platform DTAP workflow, component contracts, artifacts API, component registry, and canvas interface.
• Lead engineering recruitment, development, and retention for the org across Backend, Frontend, DevOps, Applied ML, and Product roles.
• Represent the platform in external technical conversations with customers, partners, funders, and press; drive investor-facing materials and roadmaps.
