Paperless Parts, based in Boston, MA, is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead a 25+ person organization and report to the CTO. The role blends keeping the core platform stable with standing up new AI-driven products in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

You will guide architecture, engineering delivery, and product partnerships while expanding the use of AI across the SDLC and ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record leading multi-team B2B SaaS engineering organizations through growth and improving delivery quality.
• Proven success managing through Directors and Engineering Managers, with frontline leadership development.
• Deep technical background in cloud-native platforms and scalable architecture.
• Experience raising engineering effectiveness with AI tooling and AI-enabled product capability.
• Strong experience partnering with Product to align technical roadmap with business goals.
• Location: US-based (Boston, MA hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Own engineering delivery, quality, and predictability with an operational rhythm that scales.
• Own architecture and platform decisions to enable the next stage and new products.
• Partner with Product on a roadmap delivering real customer value and early feasibility considerations.
• Collaborate on manufacturing intelligence initiatives and AI-driven capabilities.
• Lead the use of AI across the engineering org while maintaining quality.
• Keep core platform cost-effective, fast to change, and reliable as volume grows.
• Coach Directors and Engineering Managers and guide hiring and career development.
• Represent engineering status, capacity, risks and tradeoffs to executive leadership.
