Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a VP of Digital Engineering to lead Health100, an enterprise-scale platform delivering identity, payments, AI, and solutions engineering. You will partner with Product to shape the roadmap, own key engineering capabilities, and drive secure, scalable delivery across multiple time zones.

The role requires deep software architecture expertise, a hands-on background, and a track record of leading 100+ engineers.

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in digital software development and engineering.
10+ years in technology leadership, with budgeting, goals, and metrics.
Hands-on software engineer or architect earlier in career, fluent in code and system design.
Experience leading multiple engineering teams totaling 100+ resources.
Track record of partnering with Product to shape roadmap and capability strategy, not just backlogs.
Demonstrated ability to ship fast with high quality without over-planning.
Deep expertise in software architecture, APIs, microservices, cloud-native platforms, and DevSecOps.
Experience designing highly available, resilient, scalable systems, including cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the Health100 roadmap and capability set with Product leadership.
Lead cross-cutting engineering capabilities: identity/profile, payments, AI solutions.
Own engineering for digital account/profile capabilities and payments, with security focus.
Oversee Solutions Engineering translating requirements into designs and reusable patterns.
Lead AI Solutions for Generative AI and automation within the member experience.
Ensure production reliability: SLOs/SLAs, incident response, and uptime targets.
