Job summary

Junior Achievement of Northern California is seeking a visionary VP of Development to scale annual revenue from $3M to $5M+ by building strategic donor partnerships, major gifts, and corporate sponsorships in a hybrid San Francisco Bay Area setting. The role partners with the CEO to drive fundraising strategy, capital campaigns, and government funding initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior leadership experience in CSR, corporate finance, or high-level nonprofit development.
• Proven track record of closing major gifts and/or corporate sponsorships ($250k+).
• Experience directing large fundraising events and partnerships with sponsors.
• Experience using data/financial insights to shape funding strategies and outcomes.
• Strong relationship-building and donor stewardship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-line revenue generation and close five- to six-figure gifts to reach $5M+ annual revenue within 3 years.
• Develop and drive the Launchpad capital campaign and funding strategy with government grants.
• Represent JA NorCal at major events, pitches, and community forums.
• Oversee major fundraising and sponsorship events, ensuring ROI and pipeline velocity.
• Mentor the Development team and align fundraising with program impact and outcomes.
• Forecast fundraising pipelines and provide revenue projections to the Board.
