Job summary

Think Education seeks a Vice President of Development to design and scale a multi-year fundraising strategy across California. You will partner with the CEO to solicit high-net-worth donors and foundations, building a robust pipeline and a multi-million-dollar campaign that expands programs statewide.

This leadership role requires mentoring a fundraising team, overseeing donor data systems, and representing Think Education at major events across Santa Ana, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 15+ years nonprofit fundraising, with 10+ years external relations experience; capital campaigns preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to build and maintain donor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year strategic fund development plan aligned with Think Education’s new strategy.
• Identify, cultivate and solicit high-net-worth individuals for multi-million-dollar campaigns.
• Nurture relationships with foundations and corporations to increase funding and visibility.
• Drive growth of donor pipelines, focusing on high-net-worth individuals and Donor Advised Funds.
• Represent Think Education externally, cultivating major donors and stakeholders at events.
• Craft high-impact donor messaging and materials for campaigns and capital initiatives.
• Lead and mentor fundraising professionals and support staff to meet goals.
• Oversee donor tracking and reporting processes.
