Job summary

Med-Metrix in Parsippany, NJ seeks a Vice President, Transformation Services - Coding & CDI to lead client-facing transformation initiatives across healthcare organizations.

This executive role partners with Coding and CDI leadership, operational stakeholders, and executive teams to assess current-state performance and design strategies that improve documentation integrity, compliance, reimbursement, and financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• RN licensure preferred.
• Active coding or HIM credential (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CPC, or equivalent) and current CDI credential (CCDS, CDIP, or equivalent) required.
• Minimum ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in coding, CDI, revenue cycle, consulting, or related healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead coding and CDI transformation assessments, solution development, and implementation initiatives across multiple client organizations, including workflow assessments, operating model design, and strategic roadmaps.
• Partner with Coding, CDI, HIM, Revenue Cycle, Compliance, Quality, Provider, Technology, Analytics, and executive leadership to drive revenue integrity, documentation improvement, compliance, and efficiency.
• Serve as the primary transformation services liaison for assigned clients, building executive relationships and aligning priorities, risks, and outcomes.
• Develop strategic recommendations, action plans, and best practices related to performance, workforce planning, technology optimization, and governance.
• Evaluate coding, CDI, analytics, workflow, automation, AI, and digital technologies; support implementations and optimization to improve performance.
• Analyze operational, financial, quality, coding, CDI, and reimbursement data to identify trends, risks, and root causes; use data-driven insights to guide transformation planning.
• Lead cross-functional transformation teams and establish governance, communication, accountability, and performance frameworks.
• Provide executive-level oversight, reporting, and recommendations throughout transformation initiatives, including ROI measurement.
