Job summary

Signal & Strand is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to build a new market in the US real estate, home services/construction, waste/environmental services, or hospitality. You will own the go-to-market, pricing, and partnerships from the first conversation to signed agreements, reporting to the Senior VP of Sales.

Lead strategic initiatives, work with Marketing and Customer Experience, and drive aggressive growth in a high-growth environment with data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in B2B business development in target industries (real estate, home services/construction, waste/environmental services, or hospitality).
• 5+ years in senior sales leadership with a track record of wins in the target industry or selling into it.
• Ability to build relationships with owners and C-suite executives.
• Experience in high-growth environments using data and technology to drive results.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: strategic planning plus hands-on execution.
• Strong written and spoken communication; tech-savvy and quick to adopt new tools.

Responsibilities

• Own new business for your vertical from first conversation to signed agreement with your own pipeline.
• Design go-to-market for a new industry including ideal client profile, offer, pricing, and partnerships.
• Land strategic partnerships and national accounts and deepen them.
• Represent the company at conferences and client visits; drive deal origination.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Experience to align delivery with market needs.
• Help set strategic direction as new verticals take hold.
