Job summary

Signal and Strand is seeking a VP of Business Development to build a go-to-market from the ground up in real estate, home services and construction, waste management, environmental services, or hospitality. You will own a vertical, design the market approach, price and package offerings, and turn early clients into lasting reputation in the market.

You’ll report to the Senior VP of Sales and collaborate with Marketing and Customer Experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in B2B business development with deep relationships in one of the target industries.
• 5+ years in senior sales leadership with a track record of winning in that industry, or selling into it.
• Experience in high-growth environments, using data and technology to drive results.
• Bachelor's degree in business, management, communication, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own new business for your vertical, from first conversation to signed agreement, with a pipeline you build yourself.
• Design the go-to-market for a new industry: the ideal client profile, the offer, the pricing conversation, and the partnerships that open doors.
• Land strategic partnerships and national accounts, then deepen them.
• Be the face of the company in your industry: conferences, trade associations, client visits, and the dinners where deals get started.
• Work with Marketing and Customer Experience so what you sell is what gets delivered, and what you hear in the market shapes the offer.
• Help set the strategic direction of the division as the new verticals take hold.
