Job summary

WSP in Arlington, VA seeks a Vice President, Energy Program Management to lead AE planning and execution for federal nuclear projects. You will drive growth, build strategic partnerships, and mentor teams across disciplines to deliver complex programs for the DOW and other clients.

You will guide senior teams, shape strategy, manage client satisfaction, and collaborate with regional and national leadership to foster a one-WSP delivery mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 12+ years proposing, negotiating fees, and delivering AE planning/design on US Dept of War contracts.
  • 7+ years leading multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural teams.
  • Professional licensure as a US Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of Navy, Army, Air Force contracting and Federal budgeting.
  • Experience leading Federal acquisitions strategy and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in client needs, program planning, and execution.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work under time constraints.
  • Relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth in a new nuclear market with the DOW.
  • Build relationships with industry partners to manage multiple projects.
  • Serve as trusted advisor in development and planning of new nuclear initiatives.
  • Develop and mentor new team members for service expansion.
  • Expand capabilities for commercial space projects and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Lead multi-discipline teams and guide informed technical decisions.
  • Oversee resource loading and talent engagement.
  • Foster innovation and technical excellence within teams.
  • Identify process improvements and coordinate with leadership to implement.
  • Support client account sponsors and managers in client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate across WSP sectors, regions, and leadership for a unified delivery.
